ABOUT US
WorldChristian.com (connected to ywam.org)
is a resource ministry that is operated and owned by long-time
Youth With A Mission staff people.
We are not only committed to financial viability in
our distribution of quality books and audio-visual products, but also to excellence,
efficiency and honesty in all our transactions.
While we daily process online
orders that are shipped all over the world, we are not your typical for-profit
distributor with warehouses around the country and 24/7 customer support (see
hours of operation below).
We also serve as volunteer staff with YWAM, and see our
bookstore operation as both, a ministry and a source of funding
for ministry (proceeds benefit local and overseas staff, as well as YWAM's
web-related needs).
We like to encourage reading
that:

challenges our thinking,
- shows life to be more than black-and-white or
one-dimensional,

expands our grasp of the
world in which we live, and
-
equips us to become better servants at home and abroad.
We have a passion to provide
strategic, thoughtful, educational and inspirational
resources (at discount prices) that nourish a WorldChristian perspective. We have been operating
since the early '90s.
At times you might find objectionable titles in our bookstore. When that is
the case, we ask for your forbearance, and to please remember the following:

The titles featured
and their content do not represent
officially-endorsed views by Youth With A Mission as
a whole.

This bookstore is primarily for a Christian
audience, and as such, will certainly have material
deemed objectionable to those who do not share
Christian presuppositions; nevertheless, we hope
that you will not encounter titles that purposefully
denigrate any person, Christian or otherwise.

We operate with this assumption: not everything published by a
"Christian" publisher is necessarily worth reading; neither is
everything published by a "non-Christian" publisher
not worth
reading. Thus, you will also find that we
feature selected general-market titles.

There are titles that, while questionable to some, may be so popular
among the general population, that Christians (who want to stay
in touch with
the world...) will want to consider reading them as well.

While Christians agree on certain essentials, there
exist diverse and
sometimes strongly-held theological convictions
that make it impossible to please
everyone--and that is not really our intention to start with.

CUSTOMS FEES
-
When shipping to foreign countries, we
are required to state the contents and their cost to you on accompanying
customs forms.
-
Please
be aware that your country may charge import duties/taxes or customs
processing charges; these are your
responsibilities. They vary from country to
country, and we have no control over these, and cannot predict them.
DISCOUNTS
-
We usually pass on a 15% discount for books
retailing under $15; 20% for those over $15 but under $25; and 25% for higher
priced books.
-
These discounts also apply to special orders for
other titles that are not listed on our site (we have access to
over a million titles).
-
All YWAM and Emerald Publishing titles
are a minimum of 20% off, many start with a 30% discount.
-
We offer additional bulk discounts;
they start
at ten copies per title, and are applied
automatically when you change the quantity and click
on the recalculate button in our secure shopping
cart.

GENERAL ITEMS

LOST IN THE MAIL, USA:
If shipments are "lost in the mail" (very seldom),
we will resend item(s) in most cases after two weeks have passed.
-
INSURANCE ON FOREIGN ORDERS:
A $1.95 insurance charge is added to each non-USA
order destination.
-
LOST IN THE MAIL, Foreign: Because Postal transit times are
beyond our control and delays DO occur with international shipments, we will accept loss and resend
your order only after six weeks have
passed .

PAYMENT PROBLEM Charges:
$25 if your check is returned by the bank for insufficient funds; $25 if you
dispute a legitimate credit card charge (remember, charges will appear under
the name "WorldChristian News" on your credit card statement).

ADDRESS PROBLEM Charges: If you
provide incorrect address information, and it leads to additional costs for us
(e.g., repacking, new shipping charges, UPS address-service charge,
etc.), we will pass these
costs on to you.

CURRENCY: All price quotations are
in U.S. dollar currency.

Sals Tax: Sales Tax is only applicable to Colorado customers. If you are tax-exempt in Colorado, please do not place your order online; instead place it by mail (or telephone) and include or fax your Colorado tax-exempting certificate.

PUBLISHERS:
While most books we distribute are from Christian publishers, we also handle
products from other publishers, in the conviction that they too publish many
books that are useful, thoughtful, educational, inspiring, etc.--or important
for WorldChristians (so, look to us for all your book needs, including
those from general-market publishers! How to place custom
orders (for titles not currently
in our database).

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE
The estimated time it takes for your order to arrive
depends on four factors: 1) Destination address (transit time to it) 2)
Internal processing time (currently one to two business days) 3)
Availability of stock (see below) and 4) Shipping method
selected (see below).
Each title in our online
store has information that shows the number of days it will
likely take before the item gets shipped out from one
of our supply locations ("Title will ship within 1-4 business
days" or "Title will ship within 1-6 business days")

For items we have in stock (most
listed titles we do), we typically ship them out within one or two business days.
-
For items out-of-stock,
we will most often receive new stock from our
suppliers within two to six business days. If you chose the (default) option "hold for out-of-stock items" (i.e., until
everything can ship together), it will take that much longer.
-
We will make every effort to update you by email if at least part of your order has not
been shipped out after six business days.
-
Shipping Methods within the USA:
-- Standard. We use Postal Media Mail; in transit one to ten business days; longer to non-continental U.S. locations. We will also use Standard Method when
the shipping charged on your order was
not sufficient to cover the cost of shipping any
backordered items, or if your order was a prepaid order that
also claimed Free Shipping).
-- Expedited. We will ship your order, at our discretion,
by either Postal First Class or Priority mail (in transit
one to three business days), or by UPS Ground, depending on weight
and if we have a U.S. continental street address (in transit: one to six business days).
-- Express (we will ship your order
primarily by UPS Second Day (in transit: two days;
no weekend deliveries)
-
Shipping Methods outside the USA:
-- Standard. We will ship your order primarily by Postal Airmail ("they" say that the transit time should take about six to ten business days).
-- Express. We will ship your order primarily by Postal Express Mail ("they" say that the transit time should take about six business days); sometimes we will use a courier service such as DHL Worldwide Express (transit time usually less than six days).
**EXPRESS shipments require a street address and telephone number. (Please realize that choosing the EXPRESS Mail option
does not necessarily mean that your shipment will go out the
same day. It means that, according to industry
practice, once it is ready to ship, it will
be shipped by the requested mailing method.)

Tracking your shipments:
Shipments handled by UPS always generate tracking numbers. Most
domestic Postal shipments now have tracking numbers
assigned as well. If
you provide a valid email
address with your online order, you will receive an automatic shipment notification and available tracking number. Click here for information on what happens

In regards to technical difficulties
with our shopping-cart and check-out procedure:
PRIVACY ISSUES

WorldChristian.com may occasionally send you
notification of a significant new published product
or a new worldwide prayer movement initiative by
mail or email (over the last five years this has
occurred one or two times annually). If you wish to be excluded from even such
occasional communication, please contact us
in writing at the address above.

We will not sell (nor
trade) your contact information to advertisers.

We will keep your information as safe as
possible:
-- a firewall is in place to protect the data from unauthorized external
access,
-- our office databases are password protected from both unauthorized internal
and external access,
-- when making an online purchase, you are transferred to a secured internet
server.
Return/Refund Policy
-
Attn. booksellers
and
YWAM ministries: we offer
special discounts,
but unless otherwise agreed-upon beforehand,
your overstock returns will only be accepted for
items published by Emerald and YWAM Publishing
within three months of the invoice date (a 90% refund
will be issued on such items in resalable
condition).
ALL Other Customers: If
you received a wrong or defective item we will of course be happy to rectify the situation as soon as possible; this might include:
-
sending you the correct or replacement item at
our cost
-
accepting your cancellation of that order (if
you so request), and reimbursing you or
crediting your account upon return (if we so
request) of the wrong
or damaged item
If you
cancel an
order
and we
have not yet mailed your item(s), we will gracefully
accept and refund any payment. If it has already been
mailed, try refusing and returning the shipment; upon
receipt of the refused shipment, we will issue a refund
excluding shipping & handling costs.
If you
are not satisfied with a product, we will accept your return
if it is post-marked no later than 15 days after you
had received your order. If we receive your return in
resalable condition we will issue a 95% refund (on
the actual item(s), not including shipping & handling).
Items that do not qualify for return include
-
time-sensitive materials (published for a particular time period/event),
-
special-sale items that are discounted 40 or more percent,
-
shrink-wrapped audio-visual or software material that has been
opened
-
out-of-print or
no-longer featured items
Please package the item(s) securely (tightly and
protected, so they cannot slide around within the package,
it damages them!), and return to: WorldChristian.com, 906 E Boulder, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. If
you send your return by postal mail, you may--for your own
loss protection--want to
insure the item or request delivery confirmation service.

SHIPPING WHAT IS AVAILABLE

If you ordered more than one item, you
will have the choice on our store's check-out page to indicate whether you want
us to "hold your order" and wait for any items that may not be in
stock at the time your order is packaged (this is the default
option); or to "ship in-stock items
first" (because the second option will result in
more than one shipment, we may at times charge you for
additional shipping cost, or choose
the least-expensive shipping method.
